*breathe*
I have been working on one file all damn day. Part of it is due to my boss' procrastination skills. However it is mostly due to the retardedness of our client. I am so frustrated and annoyed I can barely see straight right now- no stinking joke. And the best part is- the client even said "I am always causing you trouble!" as some sort of half-ass apology. I don't even know. It's like those people that ask "Am I annoying you?" Guess what, brilliance? If you have to ask, you effing ARE. Seriously.
What is the deal with people stating the obvious anyway? I assume it's their insecurities that make them do so- hoping that whomever will validate them as apparently the other people in their world consistently do. I personally see it as very simple. If I want to talk to you, I talk to you. If I don't want to talk to you, I don't talk to you. I tend to chill with people I like and not chill with people I don't care for. If I say I'm busy- I really AM busy. If I text or message or communicate with you in SOME way on a fairly regular basis, I probably enjoy your presence on this earth. If I don't, well- there you have it. I mean seriously, it's simple. I'm not being rude, I'm not being bitchy, I'm being honest. I spent 24 years doing things I didn't want to do and often being around people I didn't want to be around. And guess what? Now I'm not gonna do it =)
With that said, I think it is something about living in the South that you have to carry around this need to be best friends with everyone and their mother or you are a bad person, and you feel guilty. Well, being Southern or Catholic (no offense intended to anyone but aren't there jokes about Catholics and guilt and blah blah lol something or other?) if that applies, however it doesn't for me. I couldn't imagine if you were devoutly both. Wow. Okay, seriously- is it just the region that makes people feel this way? And on the flip, not only feel like you have to oblige someone who asks "Do you hate me???" with the answer of "Of COURSE not!", but you also have to be the asker as much as you are the askee? I just don't get it. People know they're annoying someone therefore they ask that very thing because they feel it is some form of absolvement? I DON'T GET IT. I just find that it's semi-common and completely irritating. Just curious if everyone in the godblessed United States of America does this or it's reserved only to the Belles and Beaus.
If it's everyone, I'm officially moving. But not to Australia. They have spiders the size of my dog. Hell to the no.
